Senior technology officers will join in a conversation about how today’s overriding B2B tech trends – including artificial intelligence (AI), the cloud, and 5G – are specifically impacting the creation, production, and delivery of corporate video content, during the general session “Technology Executive Roundtable,” at the second annual Silicon Valley Video Summit (SVVS), Jan. 23.
The panel will be moderated by Allan McLennan, 2G Digital Post president, CGA, an experienced content creation and creative technology executive in the film, TV and radio industry. The SMPTE fellow and current SMPTE president sits on the boards of the Hollywood Professionals Association and the Advisory Board of Exceptional Minds.
“We are in a very interesting time, in which potentially revolutionary technology is being introduced regularly and we shouldn’t be afraid of it,” according to McLennan. “The new technology, after all, stands to be beneficial for everybody in the sector.”
The panel will include Simon Crownshaw, Microsoft worldwide lead for media and entertainment; Mike Davies, Fox Sports EVP, technical and field operations and SVG U.S chairman; Renard T. Jenkins, SMPTE president and HPA, MovieLabs board member; and Heather Mellish, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Edge Go To market leader.
